Kino Flo Lighting Systems partners with BlockBattery for newly introduced KF21 (NiMH) battery systems for its LED line. The Kino Flo/BlockBattery systems are designed to work with the following Kino Flo LED products with DC capability:

Celeb 250 LED DMX
Diva-Lite 20 & 30 LED DMX
FreeStyle 31 & 21 LED DMX
Select 20 & 30 LED DMX

NiMH batteries are travel friendly without restrictions and can travel fully charged or even partially charged. On the other hand, Lithium Ion is becoming more restrictive in terms of the total watt hours (sometimes 100 W/hr is max) and the batteries have to be discharged to 30%. Lithium Ion battery providers are going as far as making dischargers which is another item to carry on board. In addition, the maximum charge time for NiMH batteries is 1 and ½ hours as opposed to Lithium Ion batteries which can take up to 4 hours to fully charge.

The KF21 battery can power 28.8V (20-34VDC) applications. Run time for Kino Flo products listed above is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at full brightness. When fixtures are dimmed, the battery will last longer.

In addition, Battery Adapters may be used to access 14.4V to be used with products that have 14.4V input. It’s like having two batteries for the price of one!

The Single Channel Fast Charger utilizes BlockBattery’s advanced microprocessor system and multi-level charge routines to quickly & safely, qualify, initiate and terminate charging of a nickel metal-hydride (NiMH) battery.It is designed to charge one Kino Flo/BlockBattery, BAT-KF21.

The Charger System, BAT-BC1U, includes a Single Fast Charger and universal power supply, 120W/48V with 3-Pin xlr. Charge time is 1.5 hours.

The Kino Flo/BlockBattery system includes a Mafer Mount, BAT-MM1, with 28.8V output with 3-Pin xlr, 3ft. The battery slides onto the mount and mounts onto a Mafer clamp. The 3-pin xlr cable connects to the Select 20/30, Diva-Lite 20/30, FreeStyle 21/31 or Celeb 250 LED fixture.

The BAT-MB1 is an optional Battery Mount. It includes a 5/8″ Baby Pin and Receiver (16mm) and 28V Output with 3-Pin xlr, 3ft.

Battery Adapters may be used to access 14.4V to be used with products that have 14.4V input: BAT-BA Block/AB Gold Mount Adapter (14.4V Output); BAT-BV Block/V-Mount Adapter (14.4V Output).
